Summary of Duties:
The duties of this position include but are not limited to providing support services in a patient care area such as scheduling patient appointments; triaging patient telephone calls to medical staff; registering patients; providing point-of-service admission; maintaining patient records and assembling patient charts; initiating and processing patient charge documents; opening and closing the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH); cashiering, switchboard operation, and general customer service.
Current vacant position schedule: Wednesday-Friday 7:00am-2:00pm and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am-8:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
May be required to work alternate schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a medical or veterinary setting.
Experience working reception in a medical or veterinary setting.
Experience answering a multi-line phone system.
Cash handling experience.
Experience working with a practice management software package.

Monthly Salary:
$3,317 to $4,410 | Range 38 (Steps A-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
