POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing case management, participant support services, intake and assessment of participants' needs, participant data management and reporting, advising, registration and training of Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) program participants. Serve as a liaison to CEJA staff, training providers and barrier reduction service providers to ensure successful program completion and transition to employment. Promote participants' ongoing utilization of CEJA services to meet enrollment and outcome goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Interview CEJA program applicants and determine eligibility for assistance according to grant rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of records.
2. Assess participants and determine appropriate training, retraining, and employment needs; design individualized training, barrier reduction and employment plans; monitor adherence to plans through a case management orientation.
3. Schedule and conduct orientation sessions, informing participants of their responsibilities and rights in CEJA grant programs.
4. Promote the vocational assessments and testing services through a variety of assessment instruments and techniques.
5. Advise and register students for CEJA Bridge Program and job-specific training programs.
6. Collaborate with academic student support partners including Disability Services and the Tutoring & Learning Center to support participant academic success.
7. Monitor training program and required activity attendance and academic performance, conduct follow-up and recommend action plans for participants. Monitor utilization and effectiveness of barrier reduction services and, if needed, coordinate modifications with Support Services Coordinator.
8. Collaborate with Student Support Services Coordinator to identify struggling participants and enroll in barrier reduction services.
9. Host make-up sessions or post-assessment retakes and coordinate tutoring services for participants.
10. Incorporate technology into the delivery of services; adhere to all management information system and record keeping requirements; maintain participant files and verify documentation in accordance with grant requirements.
11. Design organizational systems and processes to meet performance measures; monitor progress and take corrective actions as needed.
12. Maintain high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, social work, human resources, business or related field.
2. Three (3) years of professional work experience.
3. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate activities simultaneously.
4. Detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and flexible individual with ability to work effectively with people, handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and produce high quality work.
5. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge of workforce preparation strategies, vocational, and basic skills assessment; knowledge of special population needs and resources, vocational and academic advising, development and delivery of workforce related activities.
7. Customer focused and learner centered.
8. Strong personal computer and technology skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
9. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and/or weekend hours required.
10. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
1. Experience with case management system.
2. One (1) year of experience with results-oriented career advising.
3. Three (3) years of work experience in higher education, grant and/or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs.
4. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
5. Demonstrated multicultural competence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.
3. Ability to work occasional weekend or evening hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
