Summary/Objective

Sparus Holdings is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the operation teams and the company's financial planning and decision-making processes, leveraging expertise in financial analysis, KPI identification, data analytics, strategic planning, and team accountability. The Business Analyst will contribute insights crucial for strategic planning and optimizing performance.

Essential Functions /Key Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Provide support to senior business leaders in managing day-to-day financial operations and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and provide insights on business performance.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting to address specific business needs and support decision-making.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, with a strong focus on Excel for data analysis and reporting

Budgeting & Planning

  • Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and planning exercises.
  • Work closely with Line of Business (LOB) leaders to facilitate budget discussions and provide data-driven insights.
  • Communicate financial performance effectively to support strategic planning and budgeting efforts.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, executives, and other departments.
  • Hold team members accountable to commitments they make, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and objectives.

Competencies/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, creating KPI measurement frameworks, data analytics, strategic planning, problem-solving, time management, accountability, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and will be in office three days per week after the initial training period.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
