POSITION SUMMARY



Looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young individuals seeking education and career development? Consider joining our dynamic team at Phoenix Job Corps Center as an Outreach Assistant! As Outreach Assistant you will assist
with outreach to, and recruitment of, eligible students, assisting with presentations to local High Schools, One Stops, and other community organizations.



You will assist with orientation sessions and presentations, conduct tours of campus for prospective students and parents/guardians, and assist with contacting and documenting initial communication with Online Prospects. You will further conduct pre-arrival calls and support new student welcome activities. Also, you will support new student retention through pre-90-day focus groups and assisting with outreach to students in an unauthorized absence status.

The Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the various trades throughout the US including: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.

o Documents audit findings and prepares reports for submission per established timelines and requirements.

o Ensures timely submission, logging and tracking of all OA/CTS contract deliverables, requests, reports and correspondence.

o Ensures that area is organized, clean, safe and conducive to student/staff success

o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.

o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.

o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.

o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

o Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.

o Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.

o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.

o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.

o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Site Director to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.

o Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications




QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications is required.
  • Knowledge of IT and smart phone applications. Experience / comfort with public speaking.
  • Driver's License preferred.
