RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client in Seattle, WA is seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Mendix Engineer to guide and mentor our front-end development team while playing a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our online banking platform. In this role, the Senior UX Engineer will collaborate closely with the business team, support UX/UI design initiatives, and mentor developers on best practices in front-end development and user-centered design. Candidates can only sit in the following states: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Texas.

Responsibilities:


  • Support the design and development of the front-end of our online banking platform, focusing on creating intuitive and engaging user experiences using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to translate business objectives into effective and user-friendly digital interfaces

  • Mentor and train other developers, providing technical and UX/UI design guidance to ensure a cohesive and efficient team

  • Take ownership of the overall UX strategy, ensuring design consistency, usability, and accessibility across all digital touchpoints

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs to optimize the user experience

  • Establish and maintain UX and UI best practices, including wireframing, prototyping, responsive design, and accessibility standards

  • Collaborate with the business team to make design and technical recommendations that align with business goals and enhance the customer journey

  • Maintain, update, and continuously improve existing features and interfaces, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction

  • Conduct code reviews and design critiques to maintain high standards of quality in both code and design







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Proven experience as a Mendix Developer or Senior UX Front End Developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design and front-end development

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, with a deep understanding of front-end development frameworks

  • Experience with Mendix, React, and other front-end development platforms

  • Expertise in UX/UI design principles, including wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and interaction design

  • Strong understanding of web standards, usability, web accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility

  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data-driven design improvements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead design initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to align UX strategy with business objectives

  • Experience mentoring developers and designers, with strong leadership and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • A passion for staying current with design trends and emerging technologies, with a drive to implement innovative solutions

Contacts and Relationships:

  • Reports to VP of Digital Channels

  • Collaborates with product managers, designers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure UX/UI designs meet business goals

  • Works closely with development teams to implement and refine user-centric designs

  • Regularly engages with end-users through research and feedback to iterate on design and functionality






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
