Job Title: Commercial Information Architect
Introduction to Role:
Join us at AstraZeneca in the Enterprise Data & AI Services (ED&AIS) department, a central IT function that is accountable for enterprise strategy and standards in Data and AI engineering. We are looking for a Commercial Information Architect to lead the design and governance of information models and architectures, master data, transformation rules, metadata, and data lineage for our global and regional Commercial IT function. This is an exciting opportunity to apply a comprehensive approach to link strategy to technology deployment and take a well-rounded view to architect our digital journey.
Accountabilities:
As a Commercial Information Architect, you will establish strong working relationships with AstraZeneca's global and regional Commercial groups to develop an in-depth understanding of business priorities, data requirements, and use as well as supporting delivery needs. You will be responsible for the alignment and evolution of the AZ information Architecture, Data Model, Taxonomy, Glossary and Ontologies and the application of those models in solution design and implementation in Commercial IT. You will also be responsible for selecting the accurate data architecture patterns, as per our Commercial IT data framework to fulfil traditional reporting and analytics, data science, digital, and operational business use cases.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
-Combined experience as an Architect, Data Modeler, Information Manager, or equivalent
- Experience in framing and delivering enterprise data platform architectural thinking, and its practical application
- The role holder will possess a blend of data/information architecture, analysis, and engineering skills
- Experience in known industry IT architectural patterns and IT architecture ways of working/methodologies
- Understanding the appropriate data structure and technology based on business use case and completely familiar with data lifecycles
- Experience in the use of data modeling tools/technologies
- Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools
- Experience in Agile data definition scrums
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Post-graduate degree in MIS, Business Systems Analysis and Design, or Data Management
- Experience in a data architect role with practical examples of crafting and providing data engineering/architectural blueprints that have been pragmatically and actually implemented
- Experience of Information and Data Governance frameworks and their application in a commercial organization
