PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides continuous evaluation and documentation of direct report instructors to ensure consistency, and quality of instruction, using internal process procedures
Prepare yearly direct report evaluations in conjunction with semi-annual Goal progress counseling
Act as a role model to mentor, train, and provide resource support to assist in the development of instructors
Schedules and effectively applies appropriate instructor resources to ensure customer training expectations are exceeded
Review course feedback and partner with curriculum development team to implement change where needed
Provide direct input, and direction to Instructors in the creation of technical training programs for AM Generals product portfolio, utilizing Military Training Doctrine and Principles
Responsible for the review of all JLTV technical training program requirements to include training packages, lesson plans, tools, part, and any other training prerequisites required to conduct successful for both CONUS and OCONUS locations
Assists Training Manager with Statement of Work, Basis of Estimates, and workforce requirements in support of cost data analysis for training programs
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for HUMVEE/JLTV technical information, tooling, and maintenance procedures
Generate detailed training reports regarding training program and updates Training Matrix as required
Coordinates with other senior personnel in the department to seamlessly accomplish department objectives
Promote AM General Training and Field Service capabilities to customers worldwide with business development strategies, marketing publications, and tradeshow participation
Actively participate in Working Group Meetings related to the AM Generals product portfolio
As part of AM Generals Quality Management System, the Senior Instructor will be responsible for quality processes, procedures, and continual improvement initiatives for the HUMVEE/JLTV Training Section
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Requires minimum two years college degree or 10 years’ experience in military or civilian training and training development, as maintenance training operations supervisor
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance background
Experience with Tactical wheeled vehicle testing, retrofitting, including customer technical assistance, training program development
Strong organizational skills, knowledge of MS Office suite, and a high level of initiative
Able to communicate effectively with sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, multitasking skills, and possess expected leadership qualities
Knowledge of Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and TRADOC Regulation 350-70 a must
Preferred certifications as follows: Instructor Training Course Certifications ABIC, CFD-IC, SGITC, FDP-1 SAT, SATW; ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in areas of Automotive, Heavy Truck, or Military Vehicles; Army Instructor Badges BAIB, SAIB, and or MAIB or equivalent US Military branch or Civilian Instructor level training
Able to qualify or possess a U.S. Government Secret Clearance

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
