Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Technician to be a part of the Logistics team at GlobalFoundries 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility (Fab 9) in Essex, VT. This role is for an overnight (D shift / N2 Shift) shift (6PM to 6:30AM), which would include a shift differential for working overnight of 12.5%, in addition to comprehensive full time benefits! Essential Responsibilities:
Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspection, warehousing, equipment, supplies, and mail
Prepare documentation and enter data into system including Warehouse Management software
Handle high value equipment, materials, and hazardous materials in an industrial environment
Count, weigh, and measure incoming or outgoing materials to compare and identify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records of data
Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with the shipper to rectify; complete paperwork or forms required for documentation
Determine method of shipment optimizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
Prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices
Coordinate pick-up and delivery of material with service providers
Ensure documentation is compliant in collaboration with logistics and trade specialists
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock or reorganize storage
Fill orders and issue materials, tools, and supplies per request; document transactions appropriately
Physically load and unload transported equipment
Perform cycle counts and physical inventories
Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks
Perform daily inspections of material handling equipment
Perform work within standard operating procedures (SOP)
Prioritize work assignments based upon service commitment to customers and business needs
Prepare and execute tasks for internal and/or external audits
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
Other duties as assigned by manager/ supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience - Minimum one year experience in warehouse environment - preferably some shipping / receiving / use of powered equipment experience as well
Fluent in English language - both written & verbal
Physical Capacity Demands: Ability to perform work in a standing position for majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks). Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift. Able to perform activities that include bending at the waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, grasping, or reaching.
Candidates must be able to meet GlobalFoundries driving requirements for driving company vehicles (must have valid driver's license and clean driving record)
Ability and willingness to obtain a forklift certification
Ability to operate automated or computerized systems and Microsoft software
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation
Ability to maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Oracle software, SAP, or other ERP systems
Experience working in logistics or in a shipping/receiving environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a global team
Ability to use machinery for packing, wrapping, and crating materials
Expected Salary Range
$35,000.00 - $59,500.00
