Summary/objective


This position is responsible for receptionist and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment. This position requires managing multiple priorities, the ability to work independently, and outstanding organizational skills. The receptionist exhibits exceptional customer service with a positive, helpful attitude and maintains a welcoming environment by modeling the firm’s common purpose of delivering with care.


Essential functions

  • Ensure that clients and guests are received at the front desk during business hours by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately, providing an overall welcoming environment.

  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite friendly manner keeping detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and calls received.

  • Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times.

  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail.

  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.

  • Coordinate building security access by activating/deactivating key fobs as needed

  • Assist with catering and set up of on-site events and meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Work environment


Work to be performed in HORNE office setting during regular business hours


Physical demands



  •  Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Speaking and answering incoming phone calls

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
