Description: Our client is currently seeking a Project Analyst


Location: Sacramento, CA - Hybrid (3 Full Days in Office)


Employment Type: Direct Hire


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum eight years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination, and management.

  • Minimum five years of experience directly creating requirements and quality analysis.

  • Experience supporting complex projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Degree in Business Administration or other related area preferred.

Job Summary: The Sr. Project Analyst drives and delivers business process analysis and works/consults with project teams, including various business and technical partners, to deliver value and achieve business strategy and objectives. This role focuses on supporting project delivery, including the elicitation of business requirements, research and development of new concepts, ideas, and applications, as well as the enhancement of current strategy, processes, applications, and infrastructure. The Sr. Project Analyst creates validation plans and verifies requirements are met through requirements traceability, User Acceptance and End-To-End Testing, and Change Management. This role ensures consistency with credit union strategy, commitments, and goals and requires solid communication skills and the ability to build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support:


    • Work on projects or parts of a program with moderate to high complexity.

    • Provide support to at least one business domain or product (business capability).

    • Partner with project teams, business, and technical partners to deliver value and achieve business strategies and objectives.



  • Business Needs Discovery:


    • Support project teams to articulate the business impact of business problems and contribute to the identification of measurable business value.

    • Understand business problems and support the translation of business needs into capabilities.

    • Partner with the business and project teams to identify unique value drivers.

    • Drive the evaluation of new business ideas, vendors, and business models across multiple business functions, defining impacts and solutions.

    • Adapt to ambiguity and support resolution of conflicts, issues, and risks to remove barriers within the project/program teams while continuing momentum.

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws.



  • Solutions Management:


    • Collaborate with project/program teams to create and communicate solution vision and manage the prioritization of competing business demands.

    • Iterate prototypes, co-design, and test processes of high-value solutions with business and technology partners.

    • Understand technological constraints.

    • Clarify the business rationale of a solution concept and recommend alternative solutions to a business need.

    • Identify solution interdependencies and assess the risks of various solution options.

    • Contribute to solution options and support business partner decision-making.

    • Develop Request for Proposals (RFP), including business needs and product/service expectations.

    • Analyze and compare vendor responses, collate vendor risk assessments (financial, physical, and electronic security reviews).

    • Partner with project teams to identify opportunities for creating reusable enterprise artifacts.

    • Communicate the value of new technologies and the tradeoffs between various solution options.



  • Consulting:


    • Work with project teams to understand tradeoffs to achieving their targeted business outcomes.

    • Adjust expectations in accordance with changes in scope and navigate conflict between multiple business and technical partners.

    • Consult with business and technical partners to streamline work processes and maximize efficiencies.

    • Optimize business needs prioritization by influencing business and technology partners' decisions.




  • Knowledge/Skills:


    • Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred.

    • Knowledge of existing credit union products, services, and overall operational guidelines.

    • Strong knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies and process improvement methodologies.

    • Strong research, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

    • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently.

    • Supportive of all decisions, choices, goals, and objectives as determined by PMO leadership and Executive leadership.

    • Proven ability to evaluate key business objectives and develop appropriate action plans.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

    • Ability to use logical reasoning when making objective observations, examinations, evaluations, and recommendations.

    • Familiarity with common contractual language and contract negotiation.
