Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Independently designs and executes experiments and performs high-speed testing of optical and electrical components in an electro-optical lab environment.
  • Works collaboration with cross-functional teams, integrating electrical and optical designs creatively and seamlessly.
  • Analyzes and interprets complex test results, resolves a broad range of issues, and optimizes performance for high-speed fiber optic transceivers in innovative ways.
  • Works on and leads R&D projects to advance high-speed optical communication technologies.
  • Develops and refines product development documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and reports.


Education & Experience

  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience
  • Highly advantageous for candidates with strong problem-solving capabilities in electro-optical lab testing.


Skills

  • Expert knowledge in high-speed optical and electrical component integration with drivers and amplifiers, PCB board design, and packaging.
  • Proficiency in high-speed lab equipment such as VNA, DCA, and AWG, with minimal supervision required.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership in creating detailed, accurate work plans for moderately complex projects, often taking a lead role in task planning and execution.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a deep commitment to optimization and innovation in design and testing.
