Our client is seeking an Assistant Merchant to join their dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance shifting priorities with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of seasonal plans
- Coordinating with design and production teams
- Conducting in-depth financial research and analysis
- Serving as the main contact for supplier communication
- Performing historical and competitive intelligence analysis
- Assisting in assortment planning and general organization of the product
- Maintaining sample status and checking quality
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Solid financial/business acumen
- Awareness and curiosity of the competitive landscape
- Ability to operate autonomously and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership
- Clear, confident, and friendly communication skills
- A passion for retail and product categories
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a positive attitude, high taste level, and awareness of trends will thrive in our client's inclusive and fast-paced work environment.
