JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operational success by effectively managing the district maintenance team, the annual operating budget, maintaining positive relations with customers, contractors, and employees while ensuring all corporate policies, programs and procedures are followed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage Technical Service Department to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs to Nabors and external customers.
  • Analyze key service delivery areas for improvement with intention of developing and implement a structured and sustainable maintenance improvement plan.
  • Develop and implement programs that reduce unplanned downtime and deliver predictive analytics on key equipment.
  • Ensure highest levels of safety are in place within Technical Service department.
  • Manage district NDUSA Technicians and district level SLA agreement with drilling.
  • Ensure maintenance system and Microsoft Dynamics is utilized to drive planned maintenance, record unplanned maintenance activities while tracking key maintenance performance measures
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly estimates for maintenance expenses. Manage maintenance expenses within budget. Works with corporate Maintenance Managers to manage equipment recertifications.
  • Manage the district workshop and all repair activities for Nabors and NDS equipment
  • Manages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the department
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees
  • Maintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Resolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and termination
  • Develops and controls departmental Opex and Capex budget along with developing Capex justification with minimal assistance
  • Interfaces with vendors, sales, project management and engineering personnel to resolve equipment problems and improve quality of products
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel
  • Manages preventative maintenance of all equipment within the department and insures effective use of company resources such as utilities, tools, consumables, and other supplies
  • Manages & is responsible for the care of all assets withing the maintenance department including service vehicles, technician tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Manages and develops plans for the efficient use of equipment, materials and personnel. Ensures policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with established guidelines and compliance standards are met
  • Assumes overall responsibility for District P&L/budget, safety, and personnel.
  • Reviews maintenance spend and develops ways to reduce or manage internal and external spend.
  • Selects, trains, coaches and develops district employees. Creates and upholds a work environment that encourages employee morale .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 15 years' experience with oil and gas related equipment or

• Alternately 7 years' experience in oil & gas and a degree in mechanical/civil or electrical engineering

• Minimum 3 years' Management experience

• Minimum 2 years as a technician on a drilling rig

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications ( Tea m s , Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• General knowledge of oil field technology, as it applies to the oil and gas industry

• Proven experience with customer service


  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

• Demonstrated HS&E leadership s

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience with Nabors rigs, equipment, and Nabors maintenance system.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting methods to ensure that uptime and quality targets are met.
