JOB DESCRIPTION:
VAE is seeking an F5 Network Engineer to support our Operations Team contract at the Pentagon. Due to the nature of this role, the employee must report full-time onsite in in Arlington, VA. QUALIFICATIONS:
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance
Certi?cations: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certi?cation.
Must have ONE or more of the following active network certi?cations: Cisco Certi?ed Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certi?ed Network Professional (CCNP) or Aruba Certi?ed Switching Associate (ACSA).
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Years' Experience:
10+ or more years of related information technology experience
3+ years’ experience supporting DOD, DISA, or JSP Network environments.
Expert knowledge of information technology principles, methods, and techniques.
Experience with F5 load balancers to include troubleshooting, con?guring, upgrading, maintaining, and monitoring an enterprise F5 load balancer network architecture.
Extensive experience troubleshooting, managing, and monitoring the health of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches.
Extensive experience in Software De?ne Networks (SDN). Broad understanding of network infrastructure topologies, security policies, ?rewalls, and the L2/L3 switch and router infrastructure.
Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network systems, switching, and routing protocol standards such as: TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1x.
Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in a large multi-site environment.
Experience with network security, including ?rewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, and vulnerability remediation.
