Earlham College is seeking a Seminaries Librarian to join our team!

Job Summary:

Earlham College Libraries seek a temporary seminaries or theological librarian to fill in as a sabbatical replacement for the librarian to Earlham School of Religion and Bethany Theological Seminary.

Earlham School of Religion (ESR) and Bethany Theological Seminary are partner seminaries that share curriculum serving graduate students at both schools. ESR is an embedded seminary within Earlham College; Bethany is independent. Both ESR and Bethany are grounded in historic peace churches (Religious Society of Friends and the Church of the Brethren), but serve students and faculty from a diverse range of religious and spiritual backgrounds. More than two-thirds of students are remote, with most classes offered in hybrid or fully online formats. Some classes are offered as intensives during August, January, and May. While this position will primarily support the two seminary communities, the position may also may offer general reference support for the undergraduate programs at Earlham College and Earlham's Graduate Program in Education.

This is a temporary, 20 week, 10 hours-per-week position beginning January 6, 2025, and continue through May 25, 2025. The hourly compensation will be $25.00 per hour. Benefits are not included. This position allows for fully remote work. Schedule will be mostly flexible, with exception for instruction sessions and occasional meetings. This position reports to the Earlham College Library Director.
