Job Summary


The Press Brake Operator is responsible for processing high-quality products safely and efficiently. This role involves setting up, operating, and performing basic programming of press brake machinery to ensure production meets quality standards and customer specifications.


Job Responsibilities   




  • Equipment Preparation: Set up production equipment by making necessary adjustments and assisting with changeovers to ensure proper operation




  • Quality Control: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications through first-piece and in-process inspections. Complete production control charts, analyze recordings, and make necessary equipment adjustments




  • Training: Assist in training new employees by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices for press brake operation




  • Problem Solving: Address production process problems by making equipment adjustments, reporting production and quality data, and referring complex issues to the supervisor




  • Operational Maintenance: Ensure smooth production operations by adhering to established policies and procedures. Report any needed changes or issues related to equipment, materials, or finished goods




  • Preventative Maintenance: Follow preventative maintenance procedures to keep equipment in good working condition. Report any repairs or changes required




  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations




  • Team Contribution: Support team efforts by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors




  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support production and team goals.




Qualifications 




  • Instruction and Communication: Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and comprehend written instructions




  • Mathematics: Basic math skills required for measurements and calculations




  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required


  • Measuring Devices: Knowledge of measuring devices used in press brake operations




  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for operating machinery and recording data




  • Work Orders: Ability to read and understand work orders to ensure proper processing and quality control




  • Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility


  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history


  • Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
