Your Role:
Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Data Analyst for our Public Assistance Program. The successful candidate will have extraordinary attention to minute detail and be responsible for executing and overseeing daily administrative, data entry, reporting, and reconciliation functions assigned to them under the supervision of the Program Manager. The Business Intelligence Data Analyst Data Analyst will be responsible for reporting on key project metrics and summarizing data trends.
• Develop Analytics and Reporting using Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Paginated Report Builder
• QA/QC reconciliation, application records, invoice records, and material use records for grant-funded programs
• Create project reports based off aggregated program data as required by project
• Coordinate, review, analyze, and summarize financial data for grant-funded programs
• Data cleansing and metric reporting off large datasets for project management needs
• Assist in evaluating the fiscal administration of grant programs
• Reconcile federal and state grants, cost estimates, audits, and other initiatives that support disaster recovery efforts
• Travel may be required
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, data analytics and/or business administration and must be able to or have:
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or computer science preferred. Four years additional industry experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Prior experience with federal grant funding preferred
• Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Business Administrative background preferred
• At least two years of experience with Microsoft Power BI and SQL preferred.
• Intermediate or better proficiency in DAX and Data Modeling using Star Schemas.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Query and data ETL Processes.
• Office suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word experience required).
• Must have advanced technical skills utilizing Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to create and maintain process automation documentation.
• Must have proficient verbal and written communications skills with the ability to receive and execute instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Work attentively with minimal supervision.
• Problem solves issues that arise in day-to-day running of business end user automation processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required.
• Workdays in excess of 8 hours and/or weekend attendance may be required.
• Have extraordinary attention to detail.
• Adaptable to work on many different deliverables and maintain composure and professionalism.
