Location: Lancaster, PA

Description: We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Teaching Assistant to work in the Lancaster, PA area for the 2024-2025 school year. In this position, you will be working in the Autistic support program at an Elementary School.



Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:30am-3:30pm (could vary based on school)



Job Summary: Working 1 on 1 with students providing behavior and academic support and assist in implementing an effective educational programs for the students assigned by their case manager. Assist in providing instruction and meeting special needs which includes feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring health conditions of students with disabilities. Looking for PCA's with a background in Autistic Support, Special Education, Behavioral Health, or General Caregiving.



Responsibilities include:

Provide instruction as directed by teacher to individuals in a variety of areas including cognitive, gross and fine motor skills, feeding skills, self help skills and behavior control.

Assist teacher in maintaining health and safety of physically handicapped students by being aware of environment and the potential hazards of each child's actions.

Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing hands and faces, toileting, and changing diapers and clothing as needed.

Monitor and control student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Must have experience with children, students, or general caregiving of any age.


• Preferred: experience with Autistic Support, Special Education, or Behavioral Health/Mental Health


• First Aid Certificate including CPR
