SUMMARY
Ensures customer and workers safety while promoting a work environment that is positive, service oriented and compliant with established policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations/ordinances. Responds to emergency situations as directed and according to policy.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide friendly greetings and interactions to those entering the store.
Conduct required identification check on each customer who enter the premises in accordance with the standards set forth in applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure that customer admittance to the store is limited to those individuals 21 years or older.
Monitor interactions to maintain a peaceful and safe atmosphere both inside and outside the store including the parking lot.
Observe and report all incidents and safety hazards to management and recommend any needed improvements.
Work with management by collecting customer feedback to be used for continuously improving customer and staff safety.
Conduct frequent exterior perimeter checks as scheduled and as needed.
Provide exceptional customer services at all times and maintain courtesy and professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years of age or older
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and other staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License if operating a vehicle for work matters.
This position is classified as a sensitive Tribal position. Therefore, applicants must submit to and clear a pre-employment criminal background check.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of surveillance techniques
Knowledge of applicable regulations and ability to familiarize oneself with applicable Tribal Ordinances/Regulations.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, customers, and vendors.
Ability to work a FLEXIBLE work schedule including nights and weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform manual labor tasks which can include sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, reaching, performing repetitive tasks, and frequently lifting up to 75 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a normal retail store setting; noise levels range from quiet to loud but are usually moderate.
