Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
· Working with minimal supervision on a team to build specific composite parts per specifications.
· Assisting in the preparation of molds and forms.
· Marking and cutting tape, woven material, honeycomb, adhesive and similar materials following templates, guides or specific dimensions and sequences.
· Fitting and smoothing successive layers of materials as necessary to secure build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets and voids following directions and instructions.
· Ensuring that final size, shape and details of parts are correct and in accordance with standards.
· Noticing and commenting on the level of quality of products.
· Working towards continuous improvement and efficiency.
· Recognizing problems and help in their resolutions.
· Completing required paperwork.
Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or 2 years' experience in assembly, maintenance, manufacturing production, or related skills.
Other Useful Skills and Abilities:
· Previous composites lay-up experience, preferred.
· Basic computer skills.
· Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
· Ability to work under limited supervision.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Manual dexterity and motor coordination.
· Ability to work with small tools.
· Knowledge of workplace safety.
· Must be able to read and speak English to understand work instructions.
· Must be willing to acquire an understanding of the manufacturing process.
· Must be team-oriented and understand the customer-focused nature of the medical device industry.
