Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join a growing law firm in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite work model for the first 6 months, then the individual can work 2 days remote.
The Legal Assistant's responsibilities include:
Coordinating, scheduling, and calendaring depositions and hearings.
Performing investigative research and administrative tasks.
Drafting, editing, and proofing various legal documents and correspondence.
Electronic filing in state and federal courts.
Communicating with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
Calendaring and docketing.
Trial preparation, including but not limited to, assembling binders and coordinating witnesses.
Assisting with organizing and maintaining electronic case files.
Data entry as needed.
Any additional duties and tasks as needed under the direction of paralegals and attorneys.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience as a legal assistant
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Experience e-filing in state and federal courts.
Experience working with document management software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
