Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Material Coordinator to join a client in Fremont. This role will start out as a temporary position, but can turn into a temp-to-hire role based on performance. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Job Duties:
Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes
Package goods according to selected carrier specifications and quality standards.
Pull material for kits, shortages, work orders and/or shippers in accordance with FIFO policy.
Put away stock from receiving, airfreight, sea freight, material transfer orders and shop.
Update the system with the location for any material returned to stock.
Create repair work orders for discrepant material.
Process material transactions using the ERP system or on the hand held devices.
Assist in daily cycle counting.
Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, and compactor.
Verify all work to eliminate errors.
Ask for clarification or assistance as needed.
Interface with internal and external customers.
Maintain necessary files and documentation.
Requirements:
Reading, writing and basic math skills
PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs.
Forklift certification preferred.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
2+ years experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
