The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.




Holman is currently accepting applications for a Credit Analyst. In this new role, you will assess the credit risk associated with new and existing clients, and support credit growth in line with risk by using assessment technologies provided by 3rd parties.




Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assess creditworthiness of existing and prospective small/medium sized commercial enterprises

  • Examine financial transactions and credit history including (applications, statements, balance sheets, legal documents, etc.)

  • Complete ratio, trend and cash flows analyses

  • Determine in depth the degree of risk involved

  • Analyze credit scorecard data and credit portfolio performance, create clear and objective management reports and help with calibrating scorecards to align with company's risk appetite

  • Assure the company compliance with state and federal laws

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.




Education and/or Training:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus

  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)




Relevant Work Experience:



  • 3+ years' experience in commercial underwriting, ideally for small and medium sized enterprises

  • Familiarity with 3rd party credit data providers such as Experian, D&B, etc.

  • Experience utilizing, developing and assessing scorecards is preferred

  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations

  • Automotive finance experience a plus

  • Has breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department

  • Collecting and analyzing raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information.

  • Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Pay:



We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $56,400.00 - $81,775.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
