Job Description:
Job Summary This position coordinates package flows through the hub to appropriate outbound load areas and creates pre-sort plans to manage daily load volume. He/She reviews daily projection reports to support the development of pre-sort plans. This position reviews the previous day's sort reports to estimate the current day piece-per-hour (PPH). He/She provides projected staffing reports to supervisors to compare with actual staffing levels. This positions moves employees throughout the building to provide coverage in anticipation of high volume areas. He/She analyzes misrouted package data to organize the service errors and root cause reports.
Responsibilities:
Presents specific load information to supervisors (i.e., bulk loads and small loads) to adjust pre-sort plan due to specific circumstances.
Monitors sort progress to communicate status updates to supervisors.
Reviews the rate of load availability to determine when the PPH goal is met.
Determines the total daily volume projections to assign trailers and establish staffing levels.
Discusses anticipated package flow volume with the Feeder department to coordinate trailers needed in inbound and outbound areas.
Tracks misrouted packages to responsible sorters to document service errors in outbound areas.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or International equivalent - Preferred
Understands processes, procedures, and methods within ground transportation
Understands processes, procedures, and methods for hub operations
Understands processes, procedures and methods for small package operations
Willing to work flexible shift schedule, including nights and weekends

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

Pay Range: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $27.65/hr to $39.90/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
