Position Overview:
The Demand Planner will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, market data, and inventory levels to create accurate demand forecasts. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience with data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support the company's sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts.
Utilize advanced statistical and forecasting methods to predict future product demand.
Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as needed to improve reliability.
Collaborate with inventory management teams to align demand forecasts with inventory levels.
Identify and mitigate risks of stockouts or overstock situations by adjusting forecasts and recommending inventory actions.
Monitor product life cycles and make recommendations for phase-in/phase-out strategies.
Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to incorporate promotional activities, new product launches, and market shifts into the demand planning process.
Participate in S&OP meetings to present forecast data, discuss variances, and align on demand planning strategies.
Communicate forecast insights to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments.
Lead efforts to refine demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in demand planning and data analytics.
Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve data analysis and forecasting capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industry.
Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, JDA, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to diverse audiences.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
