We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Product Owner to lead Insulet Agile teams that are responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones. Working in an Agile environment, in collaboration with a cross-functional development and test team, this person will be responsible for refining and executing the product roadmap and ensuring the backlog is properly prioritized and defined for the team.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for refining the short and mid-term roadmap for the area of responsibility. Be able to provide data driven estimates.

  • In collaboration with team and stakeholders, build and manage product backlog to ensure alignment on vision, goals and priorities of the agile team within the product.

  • Work with Product Managers to align on customer needs to translate into user stories that deliver against the customer need & associated features.

  • Represent the user and accept the user value In conjunction with the team, develop story details and support sizing effort and story decomposition.

  • Drive backlog refinement activities and be a core contributor in Sprint planning as well as Sprint review ceremonies.

  • Enable team delivery by minimizing variability in currently executed Sprint.

  • Ensure completed Stories meet the definition of READY and DONE.

  • Participates in usability studies to bring voice of the customer on a feature to the team

  • Collaborate with scrum master and cross-functional teams to ensure product delivery.

  • Ensures product usability and safety

  • Monitors quality / velocity metrics to drive squad agile team performance as delivered by the scrum master

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 3 years of software medical device experience as a Product Owner will be considered.

  • Experience in Medical Device development and/or other highly regulated products.

  • 5+ years of experience using Agile methodologies and SAFe methodology, related to Product Owner role.

  • Knowledge of embedded software & firmware & hardware development

  • Familiar with Software Development technologies.

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with audiences with various levels of technical background.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Passion to continuously improve processes and practices.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:


  • Experience developing diabetes technology products

  • Knowledgeable of Software development and Mobile Application or Cloud development strongly preferred

  • Proactive at communicating with various stakeholders in the organization.

  • Detail oriented, with effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated abilities to leverage creativity to overcome obstacles and work with a sense of urgency.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry and work environment

  • Able to organize and judge multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • US travel as needed (at least once per quarter)

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,340.00 - $180,895.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
