About us:
Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.
Job Description:
Deputy Quality Control Manager (Mult. Pos.), Alamo Nex Construction, LLC, San Antonio, TX. Coordinate quality control tests according to the contract and standard specifications. Assist in the preparation and support of monthly reports. Ensure IPPs (Inspection Points Program checklists) and daily reports are documented and reported properly. Implement methods and procedures contained in the approved CQMP (Construction Quality Management Plan). Review existing reporting to identify issues and document them through the NCR (Nonconformity Report) or CDR (Construction Deficiency Report) process or through CAR (Corrective Action Reports) or PAR (Preventive Action Reports). Provide records related to the quality system to document control. Assess existing structures to determine the disposition of all nonconformities and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with management, and various Independent Quality Firm ("IQF"), and Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") representatives. Provide trainings on quality processes to employees and subcontractors.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience in transportation infrastructure.
