Ledgent Finance & Accounting has partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Hartford area to help identify a Division Controller for their fast paced growing accounting team.
Job Overview:
This role is essential for financial reporting, operational improvements, and supporting key projects alongside our VP of Finance. If you are analytical, experienced in finance, and eager to drive efficiency, we'd love to connect with you.
Ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end financial close activities.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial documents (balance sheet, P&L statements).
Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
Oversee accounts receivables, payables, billing, and general ledger teams.
Review and finalize monthly commission statements.
Lead and coordinate audit requirements for external auditors.
Collaborate with subsidiary operating presidents.
Support monthly and annual forecasting/budgeting processes.
Process Improvement Initiatives:
Identify opportunities for financial process improvement, streamlining, and automation.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
Document and maintain financial processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
Work on special projects and initiatives, providing financial insights and support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Demonstrated experience in finance or accounting with a focus on process improvement.
Preferred supervisory or management experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
