The Salesforce Solution Architect will build and deliver intelligent and robust solutions for Slalom's Charlotte area clients. This individual would also serve as a bridge between clients and Slalom's internal development team. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of relevant work experience architecting Salesforce solutions and be skilled in managing client expectations, leading development teams, and ensuring adherence to defined requirements.

You excel at facilitating and designing well-architected solutions that are native, scalable and built to hold up over time. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others, occasionally being a challenger, and bringing your unique perspective and experience to solve problems.
What You'll Do
• Lead, Architect, and Deliver High Quality Client Engagements and Outcomes
• Manage the technical delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions that may include custom development, integrations, and data migration elements
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and lead design sessions to understand and translate business requirements, define deliverables and develop well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform within clients' architectural landscape
• Advise on technical best practices for solution design; create prototypes and proof of concepts, identify gaps between client's current and desired end-states and document the details of the solution
• Coordinate the implementation of custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Salesforce platform. Provide hands-on expert level assistance to developers for technical issues and ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed
• Manage the execution of test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered
• Manage client expectations and scope to ensure joint success for the client and Slalom teams
• Demonstrate platform thought leadership and help the client to explore the art of the possible with Salesforce in the ways that will best serve their desired outcomes
• Drive and Support Sales
• Identify new opportunities for growth of Salesforce offerings and Points of View within existing and new clients.
• Provide expertise during sales efforts to define high-level solutions, scope, and estimate the technical level of effort.
• Articulate the benefits and risks of a solution's feasibility and functionality.
• Collaborate with account executives to cultivate new business opportunities throughout the sales development process.
• Provide expert guidance and support business development opportunities, including writing SOWs and presenting solutions to prospective clients
• Be a credible subject matter expert to clients and partners on sales cycles and marketing events
• Develop and Enable Our People and Team:
• Responsible for people management and project staffing.
• Coach and mentor junior resources on Salesforce projects.
• Develop and support the initiatives and activities to build and develop the team's capabilities.
• Develop and deliver best practices, delivery templates, and point-of-view papers. Create reusable collateral to be used as sales and delivery accelerators.
• Support recruiting, selection, staffing and onboarding of consultants to projects; assist in qualifying opportunities and work with people managers and consultants to assess project fit
What You'll Bring
• 5+ years of experience hands-on architecting Salesforce technical solutions
• Experience of providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and day-to-day direction for project teams
• Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systems
• Expert understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Salesforce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform and AppExchange products
• Passion for industry solutions and a desire to align Salesforce industry best practices and solutions to specific client business models and environments
• Experience with Salesforce industry solutions, including a focus in one or more of the following: Financial Services Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud, Health Cloud, Consumer Goods, and/or Public Sector Solutions
• Configuration experience using the Salesforce point-and-click interface
• Conversational about programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform including Apex and Lightning Web Components
• Experienced with Salesforce data loader for data migration activities
• Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
• Understanding of Salesforce environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies (DevOps)
• Experience with platform security capabilities
• Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
• Strong background in design and development of enterprise systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle
• Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions that integrate key patterns and best practices
• Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum
• Functional and technical understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and other Cloud Computing Services is preferred
