What You Can Expect:
As a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working across various HMA plants and facilities. This role provides exposure to multiple aspects of HMA plant management and operations, offering you the chance to apply your engineering skills to real-world projects.
You can expect:
- Exposure to HMA processes including lab and field testing.
- Opportunities to travel to different asphalt plants across New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
- Mentorship from experienced professionals in the field.

- Development of your analytical and problem-solving skills through real-world maintenance and operational projects.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in maintenance projects, including design, fabrication, and installation at HMA facilities.
- Support maintenance cost tracking efforts and help evaluate existing facilities for future capital projects.
- Participate in general maintenance tasks and operational needs at various HMA locations.
- Develop and assist in the implementation of new lock out/tag out procedures.
- Gain hands-on experience in operating equipment such as Front End Loaders and Skid Steers.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in or planning to enroll in a college degree program.
- Basic computer skills, ability to write reports, and analyze data.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
- Valid driver's license.
