There is an exciting FP&A Accountant opportunity on the Caterpillar IT Business Resources team. You will have a unique opportunity to be a trusted advisor to our IT Leadership as Caterpillar continues it's transformation to new and exciting technologies across the entire enterprise.

This role will give you exposure to multiple parts of the Caterpillar IT business globally. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills in multiple accounting disciplines as the position is responsible for end-to-end financial support of one or more Caterpillar IT VPs. This includes, but is not limited to, expense forecasting and reporting, capital reporting, and some investment analysis.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain business partnerships within Caterpillar IT
  • Monthly financial reporting for one or more Caterpillar IT groups
  • Development and tracking of annual business plans and quarterly forecasting updates
  • Capital execution support and reporting
  • Ad hoc project work as required, including, but not limited to, process automation, dashboard development, and lean/simplification projects
What You Have:
  • Education : This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Additional Info :
  • This position can be located in East Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires at least 3 days per week in the office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
  • Sponsorship is not available
  • International and Domestic travel up to 5%
