Job Description:

Whiting-Turner is looking for a detail-oriented, energetic candidate to support our current recruiting group within the fast-paced world of recruiting for the construction industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a recruiting intern, you will assist our national recruiting team in analyzing recruitment data to support strategic decision-making and improve our recruiting processes. This role is ideal for individuals interested in organization, interacting with people, entry-level data analytics, recruiting practices, and gaining practical experience in a dynamic work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Data Collection and Management:

    • Gather and organize recruitment data from various sources (e.g., Rival (applicant tracking system), job boards, social media).
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Analyze recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.
    • Create reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Reporting:

    • Assist in preparing detailed reports on recruiting trends and effectiveness.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Market Research:

    • Conduct research on industry hiring trends and benchmarks.
    • Analyze competitors' recruiting strategies and performance.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in the recruiting process based on data findings.
    • Collaborate with the Recruiting team to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Onboarding:

    • Assist in preparing and shipping onboarding materials for new hires.
    • Support the recruiting team with administrative tasks related to employee onboarding and offboarding.

SKILLS:

• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SharePoint lists or similar data analysis tools.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) is a plus.

EDUCATION:

Working to obtain a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or organizational management.
