As Senior Accountant - you will be responsible for the application of accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports. As a key member of the accounting team, this position will prepare and review schedules, journal entries, and perform account reconciliations to support the Welbilt Corporate Americas team. This position will provide critical analysis and information to the leadership team and will work closely with various Company locations, including the Parent Company.


Reporting directly to the Manager Corporate Accounting, this position is based out of our Corporate headquarters in New Port Richey, FL and may work remotely.


Essential Job Functions:



  • Reconcile cash daily and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
  • Maintain the payroll general ledger mapping to the payroll system.
  • Record payroll and expense transactions to the general ledger for multiple Company locations.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with Company standards and post journal entries to the general ledger, in Oracle. Must be able to identify and resolve any issues identified during the account reconciliation process.
  • Prepare and reconcile all cash pooling transactions with the Parent Company.
  • Support other Welbilt initiatives and special projects, as required.
  • Assist with compiling and organizing data required for audits.
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field; and a minimum of five years' of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance is required. CPA is preferred. Will consider a minimum of nine years' of relevant progressive experience in lieu of degree.
  • Prior Multi-national Company experience is a plus.
  • Requires careful attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Prior experience working with Oracle or large ERP system is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Paycom HRIS is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, macros and pivot tables).
  • Must have general knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to function in a high-volume, deadline driven and team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Work Environment:
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision, in a remote/hybrid work environment.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Normal office work environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
