We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operations Analyst team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Urbandale and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:
Ensure proper controls and procedures are being met, by partnering with the India hub, providing for our billing and reconciliation services
Monitor resource levels and quality of work related to the India hub
Hire, train, mentor, and supervise US based Marsh Advisory finance team members
Review documentation monthly and update as needed
Maintain client, contract/project information, and colleague information in the system of record
Own the accuracy of monthly invoices to our clients and internal/external revenue allocations, maintain billing procedures, and coordinate monthly financial reporting for distribution to the global audience
Streamline processes, as well as create and communicate standardized procedures and policies to adhere to SOX
Prepare client, project, or client-specific ad hoc analyses
Assist business colleagues with questions and problems related to time recording and cost entry
Develop effective solutions to business challenges and support the Specialist - Accounting Operations with the development of new processes and procedures
Manage projects from the implementation of new software modules to capturing and storing additional timekeeper, client and project data for teams assigned
Partner with technology resources in the development and support of systems
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
2+ years of accounting experience
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment
Strong financial and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel knowledge
