We are seeking a full-time Global Transportation Analyst 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily transportation functions and routine standard processes, compiling analysis and reports, and assisting with projects contributing to the areas of transportation operations and carrier management, analysis and procurement, metrics and reporting, and process and systems development necessary to support the overall global transportation strategy.
Essential Functions
Solve complex problems and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize transportation supply chain
Model global transportation networks to optimize total value (cost, performance, customer service)
Document processes, identify and escalate process or systems gaps, and recommend/implement improvements to processes and systems
Support Request for Proposals (RFPs), coordinate and track requests, and compare proposals from various providers for management review
Organize, validate, and transform data for use in analysis, procurement, metrics, systems, and operations
Design reports, dashboards, and other visualizations of key transportation data and drive continuous improvements with transportation providers, warehouses, factories, suppliers, and customers
Create, maintain, and distribute metrics to global stakeholders to facilitate management of cost, transit, performance, and organizational shipping behavior
Maintain essential knowledge of domestic and international carrier rates, transits, and service offerings to perform accurate cost and service comparisons for internal customers
Facilitate strong communication, accountability, and reporting with transportation partners for optimized transit quality and freight cost optimization
Collaborate and effectively communicate with company team members and transportation partners throughout Garmin's global supply chain
Leverage Microsoft Excel to perform complex data analysis of logistics related data sets
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field with a passion for transportation
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines
Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment to effectively meet deadlines
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
