About This Position CRJ wants you to join our growing team of compassionate and dependable Intake Coordinator/Group Facilitators to support the wonderful individuals we serve! This is a full-time, 40-hrs/week, non-exempt position that will be working in our Hartford, CT location. This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting salary of $49,000/yr.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as program liaison to Hartford Criminal Court, and Hartford Adult Probation.
Represents FRE/CRJ at any DV docket meetings or hearings as required and manages the flow of referrals of Domestic Violence clients.
Maintain good rapport with referral sources (probation, family services, state attorneys, etc.), program staff and program clients.
Completes intake assessments for Hartford programs: Evolve.
Communicates client attendance at intakes to the referral source. Ensures that all referrals are followed up on and monitored until the client begins programming. Completes all data entry for the programs into the CSSD database.
Works closely with Co-Director to ensure all intakes and referrals are completed, in a timely fashion, inputted into CDCS and that clients have been screened properly before starting group. Data input and oversight is a large part of the duties.
Group Facilitation and all other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Family Therapy or a closely related field.
Excellent communication skills and writing skills.
Knowledge and experience of CT criminal justice system and clientele. A working relationship with area providers is desirable.
Strong written and verbal skills in English. Ability to speak Spanish is ideal. Effective interpersonal skills.
Must be able to determine appropriate resources for clients, maintain client files and develop reports.
Must know Word, Excel, Outlook, and have database experience.
About Us Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
