The Payroll Adminstrator will oversee the payroll staff and processes for our workforce of 100-200 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, adherence to policy and procedure, and that the company is compliant with union requirements and regulations related to certified payroll. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate payroll records, processing weekly payroll on time, and training and empowering team members to excel in their roles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
Manage full cycle payroll for the company, ensuring accuracy, timely payment processing and compliance with federal, state, union and local regulations.
Process certified payroll reports for union employees, ensuring all requirements are met and documentation is submitted timely.
Union Compliance:
Stay updated on union regulations and requirements, ensuring compliance in all payroll practices.
Collaborate with union representatives to resolve any payroll-related issues.
Team Empowerment and Training:
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the payroll team's skills and knowledge.
Foster a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement within the payroll department.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in the payroll system.
Utilize payroll software effectively to generate reports, analyze data, and improve payroll processes.
Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective communication.
Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and reporting.
Process Improvement:
Identify and recommend improvements to payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices for payroll management.

Qualifications:
Minimum (3-4) years direct payroll experience, ideally in the construction industry or similar.
Strong knowledge of certified payroll processes and union requirements.
QuickBooks and SAGE prodcust a plus
Associates or Bachelor's degree a plus
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
