The Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.


This position provides clinical services as part of an OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic/ CCBHC location Interventions include, but are not limited to, evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; case management; and crisis interventions. This position is hybrid and in person hours will be minimum of 7 hours (one full day) per week.


Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations/ intakes as required.

  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client's treatment progress and changing problems/goals.

  • Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions.

  • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care.

  • Provide linkages as driven by screenings and client identified needs to embedded care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric and medical services.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.

  • Maintain all documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sources.

  • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures.

  • Must be available to work in the afternoons and early evening hours.

  • Must provide a minimum of 20 sessions per week. Please note that at least half of these sessions must be provided in person.

  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE (List what the desire to reach goals):



  • A minimum of one year relevant clinical experience is required.

  • Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred.

  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.

  • Carry a minimum caseload of 25

  • Work a minimum of 12.5 hours per week

  • Produce a minimum of 15 sessions per week


COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED (List the computer skills needed):



  • Experience with documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office

  • Experience with telemental health platforms a plus


VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:



  • The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs


WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL EFFORT



  • Office based work environment in busy community based mental health clinic


Qualifications:



  • LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT certification in New York State.

  • Capacity to handle a minimum caseload of at least 20.

  • Work a minimum of 14 per week (7 hours in person and some evening hours)

  • Must provide a minimum of 20 sessions per week. Please note that at least half of these sessions must be provided in person.

  • Fluency in additional languages, like Spanish, Russian, or Chinese, a plus.
