Seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual for an exciting opportunity at Lehigh University! Join our esteemed College of Arts & Sciences as a Coordinator (Position S79180) and play a pivotal role in supporting the Chemistry Department's operations.
In this multifaceted role, you will serve as the welcoming face of the department, providing exceptional receptionist services and clerical assistance under moderate supervision. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing correspondence and maintaining accurate records
* Coordinating schedules and providing administrative support
* Serving as the first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service
* Supporting the Department Chairperson and faculty with secretarial and clerical duties
Additionally, you will have the privilege of working closely with the Department Chairperson and esteemed faculty members, providing direct secretarial and clerical support. This position requires exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced academic environment while juggling multiple tasks seamlessly.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* One to three years of related work experience
* Experience working in an academic department may substitute for a particular degree
* Secretarial experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
* Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* Customer service orientation and a professional demeanor

This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5, offering an approximate salary of $36,090-$43,330. The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community. This position has the month of July off.
