Prairie State College seeks an experienced adjunct instructor to teach Adult Basic Education/Adult Secondary reading classes for Fall 2024 semester. Successful candidates will have the ability to address a variety of literacy concepts for adult learners. Fall Semester Session II is September 23, 2024-December 11, 2024. Class meets Monday/Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. This position is for on-campus teaching in the Adult Training and Outreach Center on the PSC campus.

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field


• Experience teaching adult learners


• Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning


• Online teaching experience


• Excellent writing and organizational skills

● M.A. in English or related field● Experience teaching in an Adult Education program● ICCB Standards Proficient Training credential● Online teaching certification
