Skilled work in various types of heavy equipment operations. They will use backhoes, tractors, lawn mowing equipment, skid steer, Marshall tree saw, tillers, and other mechanical equipment. The position will operate the equipment in support of new construction projects and be involved in the daily park/lake maintenance projects, including mowing, cedar tree removal, painting, and other duties as assigned. This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds. On occasion, they will help train others and lead projects.


This job must use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses, etc.).


Must work safely and promote a safe work environment. This job includes manual labor necessary to complete projects. Exposed to extreme heat and cold, working around hazardous equipment. Outside in all types of inclement weather, high levels of dust and noise.

High School/GED


Two Years of experience in operating various types of heavy equipment: Backhoe, Tractors, Skid Steer, Bat Wing Mower, Z Track Mower, Marshall Tree Saw, box blade, dump truck, or similar equipment in construction or agricultural industries.


A valid Oklahoma Driver's License must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.


Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions. This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
