Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Business Analyst position will involve gathering and analyzing data to identify problems and develop effective solutions. This role requires working closely with personnel to verify the success of newly implemented systems and procedures. Key responsibilities include documenting findings, designing and recommending changes to forms and reports, and developing work plans to support project success. The position also entails facilitating cross-functional meetings, managing project risks, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.



Pay Rate: $34.88 - $49.84

Responsibilities:

  • Support business stakeholders and the facilitation process for gathering and analyzing information using standard tools and approaches to:

  • Clarify business operations, functions, problems.

  • Document/map the current and future state;

  • Identify solution alternatives, evaluate the alternatives, and define procedures.

  • Research, interview internal customers / end-users, stakeholders and other interested internal parties to gather and understand customer / end-user requirements and/or business process, procedure or workflow development; present solution recommendations to management and stakeholders for consideration and approval.

  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs; use findings and insights to draft project and change management plans and other project considerations.

  • Assist management in preparing business cases by documenting the information to support Transmission Field Services initiatives.

  • Participate in the performance of risk analysis by identifying possible outcomes based on factors such as:

  • Available financial programming levels;

  • Cross-functional and portfolio integration requirements.

  • Effectiveness of cost and project management controls;

  • Level of effort required for project completion.

  • Support the coordination of planning and execution milestones, schedules and tasks to facilitate successful completion of assigned initiatives by gathering and integrating work from multiple sources into one cohesive document.

  • Identify project deliverables and deadlines, including coordination of communication plans, update management plans, "as is" and future state assessments, user guides, desk manuals, and other necessary support tools.

  • Recommend program evaluation criteria and procedures that incorporate performance metrics, compliance requirements, and lessons learned.

  • Recommend programmatic and process changes to functional managers based on trends and stakeholder feedback.

  • Provide organizational and process analysis to assist management with facilitating the successful development and implementation of Transmission's business and strategic initiatives.

  • Assist with the analysis of organizational structure, functions, and processes, recommending changes to management to help the organization to more effectively allocate resources, utilize personnel, streamline processes, systems, controls, operational methods, and increase organizational efficiency.

  • Recommend methods for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of projects, programs and procedures through process modification and application of evolving technology.

  • Maintain regular and consistent communication regarding project / assignment status and concerns, with appropriate parties, including the manager, project manager, stakeholders, project team, business analyst team, etc.

  • Develop /draft documentation to: 1) analyze and validate repeatability of processes; 2) facilitate training on new analytical tools; and, 3) support business continuity and knowledge transfer.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Computer Science or Organizational Development (or closely related field) is preferred.

  • With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience is required.

  • Without an applicable degree, 9+ years of experience is required.

  • Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business analysis and progressively more technical in nature.

  • Experience must include knowledge of analysis and change management principles and methodologies with a solid understanding of how analytics and change management support the change process.

  • Experience must include demonstrated experience in providing Change Management programmatic set up and support to organizations.

  • Experience with project and change management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Visio (flowcharts), MS Project, Access, and SharePoint.

  • Demonstrated Technical Interviewing Skills

  • Experience with the Prosci methodology for Change Management

  • Change Management Professional designation

  • Energy/utility industry experience

  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts

  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management, Asset Management, and Equipment Analysis for the Energy industry

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
