Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama’s Mitchell Center is seeking to hire a Environmental Service Aide II. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Cleans and maintains arena facility to include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and waxing floors, cleaning windows and fixtures, shampooing carpets, and polishing handrails.
  • Assists with set up of chairs, stages, and/or basketball court for arena events and clean up following events to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Works events which will include exposure to high noise levels
  • Operates a variety of cleaning equipment to include vacuums, waxers, and buffers.
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
  • Empties trash cans and places trash in dumpsters.
  • Strips and waxes floors.
  • Maintains outside of buildings by sweeping sidewalks and picking up trash.
  • Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Related duties as required.
