CASTER - 2nd & 3rd SHIFT This hourly position ensures customers receive quality die cast products by casting components using a casting press and sending quality castings to the trim press.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs all position operations as directed by SWAT charts and supervisors.
Performs typical casting press operations to support production goals in accordance with the Gibbs Shop Floor Management System.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Group lead/Casting Technician.
Analyzes die problems and alerts supervisor of any problems.
Performs minor die repairs and assists in die changes and sleeve changes.
Responsibilities may require use of a safety harness which will require successful completion of Fall Protection-Harness Specific Training.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience: One year manufacturing experience (molten metal environment preferred).
