Vertiv is hiring a Senior Manager for Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in Anderson, SC or Columbus, OH. This person will be responsible to drive Global Manufacturing Strategy & Technology, Interlock with Key Functions, and Execution while being a a core member of the New Product Development Introduction (NPDI) & Global Operations team. In this role, the AME will collaborate with the cross functional teams globally to drive time to market requirements, operational excellence, manufacturing technology assessment and competency & capacity/footprint planning to support business growth. The AME will accomplish this by leading the industrial transformation & supply chain readiness activities according to the project scope & business needs. The individual in this position will be able to interpret the voice of customer and translate those requirements into several defined process areas including but not limited to: Design for Manufacturing, FMEA analysis, supply chain mapping with optimization (lead time, cost, capital), prototyping & piloting, manufacturing facility layouts and product line testing.
Core Focus:
Develop & Implement Global Operational Strategy, which aligns w/Vertiv Key Initiatives
Global Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Infrastructure & Systems manufacturing/integration technology & process
Responsible for the Global Operational Scenario Mapping, Plan/Investment, & interlock/alignment w/Key Stakeholders (ie. Business Unit Leaders, Regional Operations, ELT, etc.)
Extensive communication/coordination/alignment and participation with cross-functional teams & project meetings

Insure DFx is applied during NPDI project.
Drive and Coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new products, from project concept to release of new products.
Direct all stages of prototype builds and pilot runs.
Works with Manufacturing Engineers and Materials teams to develop documentation for new products (bills of material, routings, and manufacturing instructions).
Communicate project requirements', actions, and status with other departments.
Track and publish NPI Deliverables using defines tools and databases.
Operations Plans
Manufacturing Process Flow Charts
Production Readiness Evaluations
Cost Analysis - cost estimates and standards costing
Specifies Capex investment requirements for the new offer - new equipment and tooling requirements.
ATE Function. Responsible for oversight of the new offer product Automatic tester development. DFT review, PCBA ICT, FCT development and Product Function test.
Component Function. Responsible for oversight of the new design component qualification. Include Tooling analysis. Parts Quality. PQCS.PQCP, PPEP and Compliance check.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
Minimum 15+ years of experience in a heavy industrial/integrated solutions manufacturing or engineering environment.
Effective Process & Organization skills, ability to manage multiple Key Initiatives
PC and business software - word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and project management tools
Complex Project Management skills/toolset
Strong Communication Skills - Ability to communicate w/Executive level & Key Stakeholders
