Vertiv, a global leader in critical infrastructure solutions, seeks a Senior Analystat its headquarters in Westerville, OH to join our Americas Commercial Finance team. The Senior Analyst, Accounts Receivable (AR) Disputes & Escalations, will play a critical role in facilitating the collection cycle to meet our AR and collection targets for the region. Your role will be focused on analyzing transactions and working with internal and external partners to diagnose and resolve disputed and/or delinquent receivables.
You will be in frequent contact with Order Management, Credit, Invoicing, Tax, Sales, Sales Operations, and our customers to cultivate productive channels of communication for invoice dispute resolution and collection escalation strategies. This position requires a self-starter that can lead dispute resolution, collections process improvement, reporting, and various other A/R related projects.
This role will be located at our corporate HQ's in Columbus, Ohio (Westerville).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dispute Management:
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, legal, and operations) to resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction.
Help investigate, analyze, and resolve escalated customer disputes related to invoices, payments, and credits.
Communicate effectively with customers to clarify dispute issues and provide timely resolutions.
Escalation Handling:
Serve as the primary point of contact for AR escalations, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
Develop and maintain escalation workflows between collectors, management, and internal business partners.
Manage invoice escalations to 3rd party collections and support resolution through cash application procedures.
Root Cause Analysis & Process Optimization:
Conduct detailed analysis of recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend preventive actions.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing AR processes to enhance dispute resolution and minimize manual interventions.
Reporting & Metrics:
Create and manage detailed reports on dispute status, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Track resolution timelines and provide data-driven insights to improve AR dispute resolution efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
3+ years of experience in finance roles including experience in accounts receivable.
Strong knowledge of AR processes, including invoicing, and payment processing.
Proven track record in handling escalations and resolving complex disputes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven leadership skills in business partnership and process implementation.
Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Ability to pull together and summarize large amounts of data into concise explanations.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
ERP Systems experience, preferably Oracle.
Experience with collection software, preferably High Radius.
SQL query development experience, a plus.
Manufacturing or large global firm experience, a plus.
