Vertiv is seeking a Data Scientist in the Westerville, OH area. This Data Scientist will join the existing quality analytics team and will primarily work within the team to create, design, develop, test, maintain and support data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collect data from existing legacy sources as well as new data sources including Oracle EBS and cloud platforms
Create reports and analysis for a variety of business departments (Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.)
Design, develop and support Interfaces from and to various business and enterprise applications.
Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
Produce accurate analyses and/or hypotheses testing by applying algorithms to large structured as well as unstructured datasets.
Understand key paths, patterns and customer behaviors leading to desired as well as undesired business outcomes; perform deep data analysis to understand root causes and develop business strategies to solve for problem areas.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or a directly related field.
5+ years business domain experience. Must have experience across several relevant business domains in the utilization of critical thinking skills to conceptualize complex business problems and their solutions using large scale business data sets.
Excellent training, facilitation, and presentation skills will solid oral and written communication capabilities. Polished interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
High degree of customer sensitivity/acumen.
Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues.
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and a matrix management environment.

Strong knowledge and experience of relational databases and SQL
