Liberated Brands is looking for a Cash Applications Specialist to assist in daily tasks to ensure all incoming payments are applied to the correct customers/GL accounts in a timely fashion.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Responsible for posting payments, adjustments, denials, and credit balance resolution from multiple payers to vendor invoices, into multiple information systems.
Provides leadership and direction for all payment posting and credit resolution processes for all accounts to ensure timely and accurate posting, various detailed analyses, and special projects.
Serves as the point person for the receipt of all electronic payment files, including downloading statements from customer portals, researching discrepancies and other steps as assigned.
Use of independent judgment and decision making; as well as strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Recognize necessary changes in priority of tasks and allocation of resources, and act upon them as required to meet workload balance.
A detail-oriented self-starter with superior analytical skills who can multi-task and meet deadlines as well as work with various departments and all levels of management and staff.
Strong technical skills are required, particularly experience with Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to work in a team environment and be capable of tactfully working with others.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working within areas of patient billing or revenue cycle related functions preferred.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work requires intermediate computer literacy skills as well as keyboard and 10-key proficiency to operate in multiple windows, manipulate files and quickly enter data into the system.
Work requires intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and email.
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills. Exhibit strong, collaborative leadership qualities that can bridge across multiple disciplines.
Effective critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong quantitative and analytical abilities to process and display data.
Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to be pleasant and capable of tactfully working with vendors.
Work requires analytical ability to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources to identify solutions to human, technical and administrative problems.

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $17/hr - $20/hr. This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
