The Office of Enrollment Management serves Indiana University Bloomington by recruiting, enrolling, and serving the undergraduate population. The Office of Admissions is the front-facing department to the public for undergraduate recruitment for the Indiana University Bloomington campus. The Office of Admissions is responsible for recruiting the freshman class each year, counseling prospective students and their families about the admissions process, providing accurate information to the public about our recruiting requirements and standards, and marketing Indiana University Bloomington.


The Office of Admissions, expands college enrollment at IU Bloomington for special populations by scaffolding support for students and their supporters through a comprehensive recruitment model. This team creates a sense of belonging by connecting students/ supporters with academic and financial resources, programs and supportive communities at each stage of engagement.



Job Summary



Department-Specific Responsibilities


  • Responsible for implementing a coordinated early outreach and engagement processes for low income, in-state students participating in the IUBound program.

  • Coordinates each of the IUBound program components which include student recruitment, parent engagement programming, student enrollment support and ongoing student connection activities after enrollment.

  • Implements a plan that promotes low-income student participation in the IUBound program, future enrollment and graduation from Indiana University

  • Actively collaborates with high school and campus partners to prepare students and their supporters for future IU attendance and participation in IU student success programs for low-income students.

  • Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to implement each stage of the program.

  • Creates strong relationships with schools that serve as feeders to current and future IU partner high schools.

  • Attends meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings.

  • Serves as a resource for precollege campus programs which want to include college preparation and IU admissions information in early outreach programs.

  • Tracks program outcome data in conjunction with the Associate Director for Precollege Programs in the Office of Admissions.

General Responsibilities


  • Maintains, implements and oversees a holistic recruitment yield tactical plan for recruitment.

  • Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals.

  • Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors.

  • Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers.

  • Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment.

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and processes and determines the effectiveness of markets and strategies. Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.

  • Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations. Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various models.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field

Working Conditions / Demands



This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.



Work Location



This role is located in Bloomington, Indiana.


This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between 4 remote days a month and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.



Advertised Salary



$43,888.00-$45,000.00 annually


$20.67-$21.63 per hour
