Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Sr. Reasearch and Development Scientist to join our team and drive the development of advanced, high-performance materials for our Semiconductor Assembly product lines. These product lines include polymer, composite, and sintering technologies used in cutting-edge semiconductor packaging.

What will you be doing?

  • Champion Safety Standards: Maintain the highest standards of safety in all laboratory and related activities.

  • Drive Innovation: Lead the development of cutting-edge adhesive technologies, processes, and products that meet evolving industry needs. Be a key player in pushing the boundaries of innovation in adhesive and semiconductor packaging solutions.

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for adhesive development projects.

  • Deepen Knowledge of Industry Advances: Leverage a thorough understanding of patent literature, new resin systems, polymer chemistry, and related technologies. Stay informed on the latest advancements in adhesive systems and semiconductor packaging.

  • Communicate Complex Ideas: Prepare and deliver clear, impactful presentations and reports that distill complex technical concepts into actionable insights. Influence both internal teams and external stakeholders with compelling communication.

  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Continuously track emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in adhesive development, semiconductor packaging, and materials science. Apply this knowledge to drive competitive advantage in your work.

  • Mentor and Guide Junior Talent: Provide technical mentorship and support to junior scientists and technologists. Help build and grow the team's skillset by sharing knowledge and best practices.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and problem-solving expertise to support adhesive-related projects. Ensure alignment with broader business objectives and product roadmaps.

  • Build External Relationships: Leverage external networks to drive project success. Cultivate relationships with customers, OEMs, and key industry players to stay connected to the broader scientific and technology community.

  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires multitasking, adaptability, and self-motivation. Work independently and with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines and objectives.

Who are You?

  • Educational Background: You hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a deep focus on adhesives, polymers, and material science.

  • Industry Experience: You have 3+ years of industrial experience in adhesive research and development, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, particularly for consumer electronics or semiconductor assembly applications.

  • Technical Expertise: You possess strong synthesis expertise in monomers and polymers, with a special focus on thermoset materials such as acrylics, epoxies, and polyurethanes. Knowledge of semiconductor packaging processes and materials is a plus.

  • Hands-on Analytical Skills: You have practical experience in conducting thermal, physical, and mechanical properties characterization, including techniques such as DMA, TMA, Rheology, GPC, and other relevant methods.

  • Collaborative Team Player: You are a team-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, working effectively across functional groups to drive successful project outcomes.

  • Self-Starter: Highly organized, self-motivated, and action-oriented, you excel at adapting quickly to new challenges and opportunities, demonstrating a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proven Track Record: Your technical accomplishments speak for themselves, with demonstrable success in adhesive development, including patents and publications in relevant scientific journals.
